'Harass' (e) will suit the statement but 'abdicate' cannot, as 'abdicate' should be followed by a noun ( abdicate rights, abdicate the throne, etc.) Likewise, in (c), 'enjoy' will suit the first blank but then it should be 'are mutilated' in the second blank ('mutilated', even then, is a very strong word in this context).
