'Dominate' (a) will suit the first blank but 'suppress' will not fit the second blank ('are suppressed' will). 'Harass' (e) will suit the statement but 'abdicate' cannot, as 'abdicate' should be followed by a noun ( abdicate rights, abdicate the throne, etc.) Likewise, in (c), 'enjoy' will suit the first blank but then it should be 'are mutilated' in the second blank ('mutilated', even then, is a very strong word in this context).
